Summer so far

This summer my bro came out to visit for a week and we did hella stuff. He was here to scope out apartments and jobs before he made the move to LA! First we did the 626 Night market in Arcadia and ate some dope food.

Lauren got her favorite- corn. Then we went to the Filipino BBQ stand and got some skewers ( a whole squid and pork!) plus Balut.

It was my first time trying Balut and as my brother described it: “Tastes kind of like a shitty egg.”

Next we got some amazing pastries from Ensaymada Project (if you’re in LA find them) and this lobster thing. After we stuffed our faces we went over to Round One and played some video games. We had the most SGV evening probably ever.

The next day we hiked up to Mt. Lowe to work off all the stuff we ate at 626. Pretty good views and a tunnel named after my favorite FBI prosecutor.

Tuesday we did a Dodgers game (they lost) but we got to see our boy Manny Machado!

To close out the week me and my bro drove out to Vegas and hung at my favorite bar- The Stage Door. This joint is an absolute legend of a bar where you can get 2$ beers and 1$ hot dogs. Which is good because we didn’t exactly win big.
